  Helene graciously accepted our request for a month-long stay & it was everything we dreamed and more! The home’s amenities were perfect - we especially loved the pool table and... read more darts! The museum-quality furnishings were stunning, and the outdoor patio for meals & the garden and pool for lounging were beautiful and relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped & the entire space was well-suited for our visiting family and friends, with extra touches like an outdoor swing for our friends’ toddler! The location was fabulous, giving us proximity to the Pyrenees and French countryside. But the best highlight were the hosts - Helene & Sandro. Helene provided concierge-level service by arranging wine tastings, fishing and canyoning excursions, multiple private dinners and more. And together their warmth, professionalism, and humor made our stay unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend them and Ostal Cassinia more highly, and we will miss their hospitality, friendship and gorgeous villa.

Our only things of note were that the wifi could use an upgrade, there was slow and limited connection unless just in the front entryway. Also, while the rooms have en-suite showers or baths, the toilets that three rooms used were out in the stairwell. It all works, but just something to be aware of.

Helene and Sandro were the warm and extremely generous hosts who made every effort to make sure our trip extra special. We loved the surrounding area and throughly enjoying cycling through the scenic rolling countryside and to the mountains beyond. Highly recommend!

Helene was a marvelous host there when we needed her yet always allowed us our privacy as well. She stocked the fridge for us prior to arrival as well as setting a delicious and tasteful spread for our first dinner of regional specialties. Our last night she arranged an amazing and delicious dinner for us, prepared by a local chef, served on her own fine china… there aren’t words to describe how special an evening that was, one we will never forget. Helene is a gem, as is her home and we are so lucky to have found her! Would go back in a heartbeat and we hope to someday!!

We were invited to a local feast where we were made to feel so welcome by everyone and had an amazing time. We would love to return.
